On Thursday 26th October, members of St Ives Surf Life Saving Club took to St Ives Tesco with their collecting buckets to raise money for the club. With the necessary purchase of a set of new manikins for competitions in 2018, the club were looking to recoup some of the money.
The Tesco store at St Ives are great supporters of the club and they regularly open their foyer to the young Nippers, so that the local community are aware of the good work that the club does and enable us to raise vital funds.
On this occasion, the club raised a total of £378.84 which is more than half of the cost of new equipment purchased.
We'll be sure to let you know our next fundraising session and hope to see you there to support us.
Special thanks to Chloe for organising with Tescos and also for arranging slots for members.
